About Umesh (Lead Mehndi Artist)

I’m Umesh, a free-form artist specializing in custom Mehndi designs. The transition from a childhood to the hobby a flourishing business has been delightful, and the most enjoyable experience of my life so far!

I began my business when I was 16 years old. My passion and determination for designing are what led me to start up my own business, which was unique in its own arena. I originally started adorning mehndi as a body art on customers. My ambitions were to try something very original. I explored the possibilities of mehndi designing and began to create mehndi designs on products. My first discovery was with a candle, where I freely designed a pattern, and let it sit on the surface. I slowly got the hang of it and experimented with several other products. In time, I had a number of orders and hundreds of followers on my Facebook channel.

If it wasn’t for the love and encouragement of my family, friends, and fans I wouldn’t have successfully pursued a future in henna designing.

I learned and I tried and found that the joy of henna lays in the smallest of details. The little details in embroidery, to the cultural craftsmanship of Rajasthani sculptures, made me realize what beauty there is in such detailed work. I made it my priority to deliver quality and detail at a reasonable expense when I started my henna journey.
